and i forgot the best part. last night, we watched the "malcolm in the middle" episode where the family goest to burning man, ha ha haaaaa! it was really funny. some of it was spot-on. you know the writers all party out there. what a trip. watch it if you can!

and if you can't get the "mitm" episode, this is pretty cool - a 7-minute Current TV video about burning man, filmed last year - interviews w/2 virgins & others. good times in the desert!

the final countdown

yes, i realize i've been very quiet on the blogging front, but it's that time of year again - the burning man kind, natch - and i've been one busy girl getting ready! dave & i are redesigning our camp this year. we're going for an old west/mexico theme, and it is coming together fantastically! first, we made a new table, covered in vinyl snakeskin, lined with fringe & hammered silver tacks, and "roped off" with a length of heavy-duty rope that looks appropriately ranch-y. we're going to cover the chairs w/the mexican blankets, add some fake saloon doors to the entrance - but the pièce de résistance will be the front gate that we're making, complete with hanging cow skulls and dangling sign. it's going to be excellent.

it's hard to believe it's almost here. we leave in ten days! yow!
