meh-hee-co, here we go!

i've been waiting months and now i can't believe it's finally here. we leave tomorrow morning for 19 days in mexico, with nothing to do but surf, write, read, eat, and sleep. it's a completely different world from what i'm living right now.

yippeeeeeee!

um, wow.

i have been busy! a brief summary of what i've been up to in the past ten days. including lots of numbers, because i'm in a number-y mood:

• got my hair cut 1/4 inch
  
• spent an entire day at a working offsite with my team, planning for 2007. 9am-6pm, with nary a 1/2 hour break in there. it was pretty intense, but inspring and motivating.
  
• had a 2-hour photo shoot with the troupe in the bitter-ass freezing cold, dark night - but the shots should be great! three photographers, including waldemar, so we have high expectations. can't WAIT to see the final results.
• got the newest round of pixie pics, too! they are so great - she rules!
  
• did NOT actually complete NaBloPoMo - i missed two days - but hey, i posted *nearly* every day in november. i think that's commendable (or something. can't tell what.)
• had my company holiday party (1000s of people)
  
• celebrated my fire troupe's fourth anniversary with a lovely party in the oakland hills (15 people)
• created a final, comprehensive list of everything dave & i need to do for our holiday party, which is this coming sunday (30-ish people)
  
• finished nearly all of my christmas shopping (7 people)
  
• planned, organized, and basically got everything in order for my department's holiday party, which is this thursday (LOTS of people)
  
• planned, organized, and basically got everything in order for my department's holiday food drive, which is going on right now (200+ people, probably)
• spent 15 hours in meetings
• caught a bad head cold
• got over it
• still made it to the gym (3x/week) - hey, i'm 10 days away from being in a bikini - a girl's gotta have goals! ;-)
• started reading "prep" - loving it so far.
• got contacted for another gig in dubai - damn, i wish one of these would come through one of these days! i would love to go to dubai.
  
• got contacted to perform on a TV show, too - that would be nice, too, if it comes through :-)
• dinners & home life with dave - ahhhh, yay ~ joy.
• mexico is so soon, i can't believe it. my work schedule is booked up from 9-6 every day, with no breaks, it's ridiculous. it's 90 degrees in sayulita and you know that surf break is perfect.
  
• oh! speaking of surf - got myself a spring suit! if it's that warm, i probably won't need it, but it was so cute & fit so well, i couldn't resist (mine is black & pink, though, not like the one in that link). it's my christmas present to myself. i may even wrap it.
  
• wait - a trip to mexico is my christmas present to myself, actually.
• um - i swear there's more that has happened recently, but my brain is on overload, and i can't remember it all.
