From my part of the world to wherever yours is, Happy New Year! May your 2008 be filled with beautiful fireworks.
This blog has faced some neglect recently, in light of my new crush on my *other* blog, but I promise I'll still post here. Y'know ~ the random, the funny, the creative and whatnot. If you're looking for in-depth writing, soul-exposing posts, New Age neo-hippie goodness, and sometimes serious stuff, you may wanna head over to the other one. I'm keeping White Gas as the purely fun spot for now :-)
Hope you all have a safe and fantastic celebration, wherever you are!

Butterflies!
Pictures from the Butterfly Exhibit at the Tucson Botanical Gardens last week. The show was AMAZING! I've been completely obsessed with butterflies for the past few months, and for the show to be happening at the same time I was visiting was more than mere coincidence ~ it was pure universal blessing!

The cutest things *ever*

From the National Zoo:
Four baby Solomon Island leaf frogs can be seen in this photo taken Thursday. The tiny amphibians were born Nov. 20 at the zoo in Washington. They skipped the tadpole phase emerging from their eggs as fully-formed frogs known as froglets. The Solomon Island leaf frog is one of the few species in the world to do this. In the wild, this species is found in the moist lowland forests of Papua New Guinea and, as its name implies, the Solomon Islands.
